Common Causes
- You might be logged into MetaTrader using the investor (read-only) password.
- The instrument you’re trying to trade may have the wrong suffix.
- An instrument may be temporary set to "close-only" mode in the trading platform.
- The first deposit has not been made yet on this account
Solutions
- If you're logged in with an investor password, please log out and sign back in using your main trading password. If you’ve forgotten it, you can easily reset it from your Personal Area.
- Make sure your account is fully verified - unverified accounts are limited and can be restricted after 30 days.
- Double-check the minimum deposit for your account:
- Standard Cent and Standard accounts require at least 10 USD.
- Pro and Raw Spread accounts need a minimum of 200 USD.
- You can also open another type of account and make an internal transfer to meet the minimum deposit requirements
- Confirm that instrument has the right suffix - for example, instruments on Pro accounts end with .s (such as XAUUSD.s)
