Important Note: Before you change the leverage, ensure that there are no open orders or, if there are, that your account has sufficient funds to meet the new margin requirements. Changing leverage will affect the margin needed for existing trades and may lead to a stop out if the equity is insufficient.
These instructions should help you effectively manage your leverage settings and ensure your trading activities align with your financial strategies.
The margin requirement on your account is linked to the leverage you use. As such, any change in leverage will affect your margin requirements. Factors such as spreads may also fluctuate depending on market conditions, and similarly, the available leverage can vary under certain conditions:
Equity, USD | Maximum Leverage |
---|---|
0 – 999 | 1:3000 |
1,000 – 4,999 | 1:2000 |
5,000 – 39,999 | 1:1000 |
40,000 or more | 1:500 |
Note: Trading instruments may have different maximum leverage according to their specifications.
- Around the time of high-impact economic news, leverage can be reduced for new positions. Check our Economic Calendar to stay updated on major releases.
- Increased margin requirements may also apply during rollovers, weekends, and public holidays on specific instruments.
