Understanding where to find relevant information within the MetaTrader platform and accurately interpreting what it displays is critical for efficient trading. MetaTrader 4 and 5 offer several tabs that help traders manage and monitor their trading activities. Here's an overview of what each tab offers and how to use them effectively.
The Trade tab provides detailed information about the client's current open and pending trades. It displays the following fields:
- Order: Order number.
- Time: Time when the order was placed.
- Type: Type of order (buy, sell, buy stop, buy limit, sell stop, sell limit, buy stop limit, sell stop limit).
- Size: Lot volume.
- Symbol: The trading instrument.
- Price: Order open price.
- S/L: Stop Loss level.
- T/P: Take Profit level.
- Price: Current price on the chart.
- Commission: Commission amount (deducted only on Raw Spread accounts).
- Taxes: Charge taxes (not applicable in our case).
- Swap: Amount of swap charged for holding the position overnight.
- Profit: Current profit/loss for the particular order.
- Comment: Comments added when placing an order from the PC version.
Below all active orders, you can see additional information:
- Balance: Deposit amount.
- Equity: Deposit amount + credit (bonus) + profit - loss.
- Margin: Amount of margin used for all open orders.
- Free Margin: Amount of margin available for opening new orders.
- Margin Level: Calculated as (Equity ÷ Used margin) x 100.
For MT5, there are additional fields like:
- Value: The value of the opened lot (1 standard lot = 100 000 USD).
- Change: Changes of profit/loss in percentage.
- Magic (number): A unique identifier for each trade made by an EA.
The History tab includes information about the client's results — all closed orders, deposits/withdrawals, or any balance operations. It displays the following fields:
- Order: Order number.
- Time: Time when the order was placed.
- Type: Type of order.
- Size: Lot volume.
- Symbol: The trading instrument.
- Price: Order open price.
- S/L: Stop Loss level.
- T/P: Take Profit level.
- Time: Time when the order was closed.
- Price: Price at which the order was closed.
- Commission: Commission amount (deducted only on Raw Spread accounts).
- Taxes: Charge taxes (not applicable in our case).
- Swap: Amount of swap charged for holding the position overnight.

Below all orders, you will see:
- Profit/Loss: Total profit and loss on the account.
- Credit: Total bonuses credited to the account.
- Deposit: Total funds deposited to the account.
- Withdrawal: Total funds withdrawn from the account.
For MT5, there are additional fields like:
- Value: The value of the opened lot (1 standard lot = 100 000 USD).

The Journal tab logs all actions and events within the MetaTrader platform for the current session. The logs can be of different statuses:
- Informational Message: General information about performed actions.
- Warning: Alerts about potential issues.
- Error Message: Details about errors encountered.
These logs help track and troubleshoot actions performed within MetaTrader.
The Navigator tab (accessible with CTRL+N in both MT4 and MT5 desktop terminals) provides quick access to various elements within MetaTrader:
- Accounts: List of saved accounts. Double-clicking an account number opens the login window.
- Indicators: List of custom indicators.
- Expert Advisors (EAs): List of robots that automatically perform trades or actions.
- Scripts: List of scripts programmed to perform specific actions once.
