While trading on the MetaTrader platform, you might encounter a situation where the Buy and Sell buttons are greyed out, preventing you from executing trades. This issue can occur due to several reasons:
Minimum Deposit for New MT Account:
If you are using a new MT trading account and haven't made the minimum required deposit, trading will be turned off on the server. To enable trading, you need to deposit the required minimum amount into your trading account.
Order Size Exceeds Account Type Limits:
Each account type has specific order size limits. If you try to place an order larger than the permitted size for your account type, the Buy and Sell buttons will be grey. To check the order size limits for your account type, visit this page.
Attempting to Trade Non-Tradable Pairs:
If you see currency pairs displayed in light grey without any suffix or with the suffix .view, these are non-tradable pairs. To avoid confusion, you should hide these pairs.
Ensure you add tradable pairs to your watchlist. Tradable pairs will have suffixes such as (.c, .m, .s, .ecn). These suffixes are purely technical and do not affect the trading process.
